The AL2 is a robust, two-section aluminium loft ladder designed for residential use, providing safe, simple, and reliable access to your loft space.
Key Safety & Operation Features:
• Rungs: Features wide, non-slip 'D' rungs for enhanced user comfort and security during ascent and descent.• Smooth Operation: Designed for easy use, the ladder includes unique friction guides that ensure smooth and simple operation when extending or retracting the sections.
• Access Pole: Comes supplied with an access pole used to transition the ladder between the upwards/downwards modes. This pole also functions as a loft hatch pole for our plastic loft doors.
Technical & Sizing Specifications:
• Max Height: Suitable for floor to floor heights up to 2.69m (8'9").• Weight Limit: Approved with a substantial weight limit of 150kg (23.6 Stone).
• Compliance: Fully approved to the European safety standard EN 14975.
• Clearance Requirements: Requires a minimum clearance arc of 0.71m (2'4") and a minimum storage space of 1.27m (4'2") when retracted.

As described and easy to fit, if I'd thought more about how storage works in the loft I'd have gone for the 3 section one as it takes up less floor space. Worth noting that the free pole that comes with this does not have a triangle key, however easy enough to cut and file down the plastic triangle key to slot it in the end.

V quick delivery then installed by our DIY man; fits perfectly. Due to lack of space in our gang-nailed roof space, the spring system wasn’t installed but hasn’t caused any operational issues

Perfect fit please read the instructions to get it correct, our were the perfect length, a little bit steep but we did have the room for a longer length, so great for us.

Overall really pleased with this ladder, odering and delivery were spot on, it was very easy to install and operates perfectly. The only thing stopping a 5 star review is that the ladder side frames had a number of dents and scratches in the aluminium when I received it. The external and internal packaging was still OK, so I guess this was done at the factory during manufacture. Doesn't affect its operation at all its more an asthetic issue but the ladder will be hidden away in the loft most of the time so I wasn't too bothered.
