Fire Rated Access Panel — Ceiling Use

A made-to-order fire rated access panel for ceilings, available in sizes from 300 x 300mm up to 1200 x 600mm.

• 90 minute fire rating, tested in a stud and track ceiling construction

• 30dB acoustic reduction

Fire resistance tested to BS 476: Part 22: 1987 (Test no. BTC22521F, 02.03.2023). Smoke tested to BS EN 1634-3: 2004.

Material & finish Frame and door in Zintec steel, powder-coated white (RAL 9010) as standard. Manufactured in-house, so other finishes are available — from primed to most RAL colours. Alternative RAL colours may carry an extra charge; call customer support on 01937 325 325 to discuss.

Hinge Zintec steel piano hinge, bolted so the door can be removed.

Locking A 90° turn unlocks the door. Panels over 600mm on the hinge side use 3-point locking, securing the door to the frame at the top, middle and bottom. The standard lock is the budget lock, operated by the supplied T-key (square end).

Frame 25mm picture frame as standard. A beaded frame is also available.

Sizing & fitting Allow an extra 5mm over the panel size when forming your structural opening — e.g. a 1200 x 600mm panel needs a 1205 x 605mm opening. The panel is made to fit the opening, and the outer frame adds a further 25mm on each side. We recommend measuring the height and width you need and deducting 5mm.
