Made to measure Loft Hatch description

A high quality, precision made hinged metal loft hatch suitable for all types of house. Each hatch is made exact measurements. the hatch is designed to be subtle and clean with a minimal protrusion of 7mm from the ceiling when fitted. All hinges and fixings are also concealed. The lid is fitted with a neat lock.

Construction and finish
The hatch is fabricated from corrosion resistant 1mm Zintec Steel (Zinc coated). The frame and lid are powder coated white RAL No. 9010 with 20% gloss for a satin finish. The hatch frame depth is 63mm (going up into the loft). The frame surround (the visible part you'll see when the hatch is fitted is 25mm on each side unless specified otherwise in the drop down menu.

Insulation and draught resistance

Our hatch design features a concealed seal between the loft door and the frame. This results in an incredible airtightness rating. The lid is filled with 50mm of exposed mineral wool insulation. This hatch has a U value of 0.32* and exceeds the requirements of Part L Building Regulations.

Lock options

As standard we fit a Tri-Drive lock which can be operated with an opening pole. If the hatch lists a key operated lock, this cannot be used with an opening pole.

Fitting information:

Add 5mm for structural opening size e.g. 548 x 700mm panel will fit an opening up to 553 x 705mm

Frame information:

Unless specified in the description, all these hatches have a 25mm frame on each edge. The overall size of the hatch when measured from edge to edge will be the our quoted size + 50mm (+/- 1mm). Please note, where the description lists a 50mm frame, the overall size will be our quoted size + 100mm (+/- 1mm)
