Tested Performance & Compliance:
• Air Tightness: Independently tested and proven air-tight in both positive and negative air pressures at 50 Pa. Test certified to BS EN 1026:2000 and BS EN 12207:2000 for ceiling applications.• Thermal Regulation: Insulated to fully comply with Part L of the Building Regulations (Conservation of Fuel and Power), essential for maximising property efficiency.
Insulation & Design Specifications:
• Material: Robust steel loft trap construction with clean lines and a smooth white powder-coated finish, positioning it as a market-leading aesthetic solution.• Insulation Options: Variations offer tailored thermal performance: AT35 (60mm foam), AT25 (100mm foam), and AT15 (100mm PIR insulation), all bonded to the lid interior.
• Flush Aesthetic: The frame protrudes just 2mm from the finished ceiling, ensuring an exceptionally neat and flush installation.
Locking & Dimensions:
• Locking System: Standard operation via a twist lock with a tri-drive lock body (key supplied; pole available separately). An optional key lock is available (pole not compatible with this option).• Key Dimensions: Fits a standard ceiling opening of 642 x 562mm, providing a clear opening of 520 x 560mm (hinged on the short side).

I have a high ceiling (3 metres) with a metre square loft opening. Previously I used an extendable step ladder but, having explored the idea of a permanent staircase, I decided on getting a better moveable ladder. The AL5C is ideal. Much safer with the hook on bar and wide treads it's also light enough for my wife to set up herself which does mean the loft space is already becoming an easy storage (read dumping) space. I'm very pleased with the product.

Pretty much flush with ceiling so that the hatch us discrete - just what I was after. Nicely finished and appears well made, I would say good value as nice and easy to fit

Used 4 of them in a newbuild, fitted easily, look very neat with the frame plastered in and all painted with the roof

I use Jupiter Blue products often and they have never let me down they are well made the staff in the office are always very helpful too would highly recommend them

Sturdy loft door, well sealed and insulated. Only issue was that there were no screws and the key for the lock delivered.

Sleek and sturdy loft hatch which had the added bonus of reducing noise from the loft compared to my old wooden hatch. It's well built and easy to install and use. Very pleased.
