The "SP2" is a budget steel push-up 60-minute fire rated loft access hatch with a smooth simplistic design.

The loft access trap is finished with a powder coat onto zintec steel for a smooth white maintenance free surface. The loft hatch requires no painting and the frame fits flush to the ceiling.

Once the loft door is open, it has a very large clear opening of 712mm x 520mm to assist with storing bulky items, such as suitcases into the loft space.

The loft hatch lid is insulated with a substantial 100mm of fire resistant mineral slab to comply with the current building regulations of 0.35 "U" value.

The SP2 loft hatch is draught sealed between the frame and lid to virtually eliminate warm air leakage. It also reduces cold air and vapour leaking in from the loft.

The white colour of the loft hatch is RAL No. 9010 with 20% gloss.

The ceiling cut out (trim) size for the loft hatch is 755mm x 555mm.

Strictly compliant to the following regulations:

1 hour fire test to UKAS standards.

Exceeds Part "L" of the thermal building regulations to 0.35 "U" value.

NHBC compliant for attic doors, including 520mm clear opening in any direction.

The loft hatch is UKAS air infiltration tested without the need for extra sealant to the external frame and ceiling.

In addition:

The ceiling hatch insulation is CFC & HCFC free, ODP (ozone depletion) zero and compliant to Eco Homes standards of a GWP (global warming potential) rating of zero.

The SP2 loft access trap box packaging is made from 100% recycled cardboard and 100% recyclable.
