The "SP2" is a budget steel push-up 60-minute fire rated loft access hatch with a smooth simplistic design.
The loft access trap is finished with a powder coat onto zintec steel for a smooth white maintenance free surface. The loft hatch requires no painting and the frame fits flush to the ceiling.
Once the loft door is open, it has a very large clear opening of 712mm x 520mm to assist with storing bulky items, such as suitcases into the loft space.
The loft hatch lid is insulated with a substantial 100mm of fire resistant mineral slab to comply with the current building regulations of 0.35 "U" value.
The SP2 loft hatch is draught sealed between the frame and lid to virtually eliminate warm air leakage. It also reduces cold air and vapour leaking in from the loft.
The white colour of the loft hatch is RAL No. 9010 with 20% gloss.
The ceiling cut out (trim) size for the loft hatch is 755mm x 555mm.

Strictly compliant to the following regulations:
1 hour fire test to UKAS standards.
Exceeds Part "L" of the thermal building regulations to 0.35 "U" value.
NHBC compliant for attic doors, including 520mm clear opening in any direction.
The loft hatch is UKAS air infiltration tested without the need for extra sealant to the external frame and ceiling.
In addition:
The ceiling hatch insulation is CFC & HCFC free, ODP (ozone depletion) zero and compliant to Eco Homes standards of a GWP (global warming potential) rating of zero.
The SP2 loft access trap box packaging is made from 100% recycled cardboard and 100% recyclable.
Please note the SP2 cannot be used with our loft ladders.

Super fast delivery and great quality loft hatch - really pleased and just what we wanted. Sadly having to return it due to our loft opening ending up being smaller than what we had originally planned for, but will be ordering a made to measure one!

We needed this in a rush as our builders had found a hatch in a local DIY chain that wasn't that pleasant. We wanted something more robust and not plastic. This hatch is metal and looks very neat in the ceiling that it has been placed in. The builders found it very easy to fit. Item was delivered the next day as standard which was helpful.

I did not really require a fire rated door but this product complies with all the current building regs requirements which I was keen to comply with. The product is very well manufacturedand nicely finished in a white paints spray. The general run of the mill products looked very flimsy and cheap. I am very pleased that I spent a bit more and purchased this product. It's well worth the money, well packed and arrived the day after ordering . Great stuff whate not to like.
