Finish options

Available in two powder-coated options either single (one) colour externally and internally or dual which allows the inside to be a different colour to the outside. Please note our pricing is based on Classic RAL colours (4 digit codes), RAL Design colours (7 digit codes) are available at an additional cost (contact us for details).

This roof access hatch is fabricated from 3mm aluminium and is hand made in the UK. Each unit is insulated to give an impressive 0.43 U value. Insulation is nothing without good seals so we fit dual EPDM seals to ensure the lid provide for excellent weather protection and reduced air permeability. The lid is fitted with twin gas struts which provide assisted opening. One of the gas struts also locks automatically when fully extended to prevent the lid accidentally closing. This negates the need for an additional stay open mechanism, as well as saving weight and improving aesthetics.

Insulation:50mm thick twin foil backed PIR insulation, CFC & HCFC free insulation with an ODP and a GWP rating of zero, thus maintaining the thermal integrity of the building. 

Security and opening

The roof hatch lid is secured with hardened steel hinges. Each hatch is fitted with an internal cab lock handle and an external push button so can be opened from either the inside or the outside. Likewise each hatch is fitted with loops which allow a padlock (not included) to be fitted to provide a secure lock either internally or externally.

Fitting

The base of the upstand has a purpose made flashing which gives additional surface area to ensure maximum adhesion with the roof felt. This hatch can be adapted to suit roofs up to a pitch of 25 degrees as a bespoke hatch. Please contact us to discuss this.
