The SDNL Loft Hatch is a bespoke solution featuring an inset window, engineered to allow natural light transfer from the loft space while maintaining excellent thermal integrity and airtightness.
Unique Design & Thermal Performance:
• Light Transfer Feature: Designed with an inset polycarbonate window to allow natural light to pass through the loft door from windows, skylights, or clear tiles in the roof, illuminating the area below.• Window Construction: The insulated door is fully bonded with a 25mm five-layered opaque polycarbonate sheet, featuring a ribbed effect.
• Thermal Rating: Achieves a U Value of 1.6 W/m²K, ensuring thermal efficiency while accommodating the light-transfer element.
• Fire Rating Note: Please note: This product is not fire rated.
Airtightness & Sealing:
• Dual Draught Seal: Features both the primary draught seal between the frame and lid, and an extra concealed draught seal between the frame and ceiling.• Seal Benefit: This dual-seal system virtually eliminates warm air leakage and vapour ingress, and facilitates easy decoration right up to the edge of the frame.
• Locking System: Fitted with a neat tri-drive budget lock that includes a built-in chamfer for a smooth closing action and high compression, ensuring the integrity of the airtight seal.

Hatch was made to measure accurately. Fitting was easy; used 4 wood clamps to hold in position before fixing with screws. Multiple small packers are needed to do a good job so recommend having different thicknesses available, or means of making them to the required thicknesses.

We were very pleased with our purchase from Jupiter Blue. The quality and finish of the loft hatch is exceptional. It took under one hour to install it thanks to my Uncle who fitted it for us. We are delighted with the amount of light that it lets through. The opening and closing of the hatch is smooth, requiring just a small turn of the supplied handle. Thanks very much.

As described. The plastic does scratch easily though but you just have to be carful when fitting. Great product overall and prompt delivery as it was also made to measure.

The loft hatch is perfect for our older house's loft hatch - it is well manufactured, easy to install and a perfect fit. It was delivered ahead of schedule too. The window in it projects diffracted light which has transformed our 'black hole' of a landing! Excellent job.

Ordered the SDNL hatch online and phoned Jupiter Blue (JB) when the expected delivery period had expired with the hatch not appearing. Delighted to say the staff at JB went out of their way to explain the delay and ensure that the hatch was delivered within a revised timescale. Good quality hatch now safely delivered. Would recommend.

Very please with this bespoke lift hatch with window. It was easy to fit and is very well finished. Just what I was looking for and a speedy delivery too!

No more gaps in loft window. House is warmer. Must be saving in heat bill. Clear window just like how the Victorians built it except not in breakable glass ; much safer, brighter, lighter. Very happy with it.
